2011

It started with a simple idea—creating a space where travelers could feel at home, even in the middle of one of the busiest cities in the world. On September 15, 2011, Stay Inn NYC was born, a small but welcoming shared space in New York’s Financial District. It wasn’t about luxury—it was about value, comfort, and the little things that make a stay memorable. A clean bed, a friendly face, and a place where people from all walks of life could connect. It was a humble start, but the foundation was set: this wasn’t just about a stay—it was about belonging.

2012

Less than a year in, we saw something special happening—travelers weren’t just looking for a place to stay, they were looking for a place where they felt comfortable, seen, and at home. So in 2012, we took our first big leap, opening an all-female loft that carried the same heart as our first space. It was still Stay Inn NYC, not yet PermaGO, but the vision was growing. More rooms, more connections, more people finding their place in the city. And all of it—still within year one.

2013

We leveled up in Williamsburg with Luke’s Place—a multi-level guesthouse with a huge outdoor hangout space and the debut of our signature PermaGO bunk beds. Then we took that same energy to Union Square, planting roots in the heart of Manhattan and expanding what PermaGO could be. More spaces, more connections—same feeling of home.

2015

What started as a simple idea had grown into something undeniable. In 2015, we made it official—PermaGO was born. No longer just an experiment, it became a name travelers could trust, a space that felt like home no matter how far they’d come. Locked in on the Financial District, we expanded fast, opening seven guesthouses in just two years. Over a thousand travelers passed through our doors, each with their own story, each leaving a mark on what PermaGO was becoming. The city never slept, and neither did we—building something bigger, something lasting.

2018

New York had been home, but growth meant looking beyond it. In 2018, we crossed the Hudson, bringing PermaGO to Jersey City and landing in two luxury buildings—URBY and The Pier. It was a step up, a chance to refine what we had built while staying true to the experience that made us different. With both shared and private spaces, PermaGO kept its heartbeat—community, comfort, and the feeling that wherever you were, you belonged. Same city skyline, new perspective.

Fresh off our Jersey City expansion, we launched three new spots in Midtown, just steps from Grand Central, offering both shared and private spaces for our growing PermaGO community.

In 2021, PermaGO introduced The Darling—our first-ever prototype designed for true luxury living on-the-GO. More than just a campervan, it’s a seamless blend of modern design, smart functionality, and the freedom to take home anywhere. Built with precision and purpose, The Darling redefines what it means to travel in style.
